Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned and result-oriented Head of Industrial Engineering to lead the productivity, process optimization, and lean initiatives at our large Power Transformer Manufacturing Plant in Sitarganj, Uttarakhand. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, cost reduction, and capacity optimization through systematic analysis, industrial engineering tools, and process standardization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead productivity and manpower optimization across all manufacturing areas — core building, coil winding, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Conduct time & motion studies, define standard times, and establish productivity benchmarks.
• Plan and implement plant layout improvements and material flow optimization.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work standards, and capacity models for all major operations.
• Execute cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects with measurable ROI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product introduction, capacity expansion, and technology upgradation.
• Build and mentor a strong Industrial Engineering team focused on data-driven performance improvement.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Min 15 years’ experience in Industrial Engineering within heavy electrical / transformer / capital equipment sectors, where 90% of the work is done manually.
• Strong knowledge of Lean tools, MOST, OEE, Ergonomics and cost analysis techniques.
